Seven Teachings Art Collective (STAC)
The ‘Seven Teachings Art Collective’ (STAC) is an up-and-coming Winnipeg-based group aiming to offer free art programming and art mentorship for Indigenous folks of all ages. Non-Indigenous allies are welcome to participate. STAC’s Artist Mentorship Program info will be announced in early 2025. STAC was founded by Métis artist Nichol Marsch https://www.nicholmarsch.com/ and mixed Dakota and Ojibway artist Jessie Jannuska www.jessiejannuska.com Marsch and Jannuska are practicing artists, each with a BFA and background in art workshop facilitation. STAC is generously funded by the Manitoba Arts Council.
Art Programming locations: Pitikwe Skatepark in Portage Place Mall. 2nd location MAWA (MAWA programming details to come). STAC Art Programming will be held every second Tuesday of the month at Pitikwé Skatepark. MAWA STAC Art Programming to be held every third Wednesday of the month.

Pitikwé Skatepark Art Workshops: (393 Portage Ave. #100, Winnipeg, MB)
Feb 11th, 2025 - Strawberry Beaded Pin - STAC Workshop
Instructor: Jessie, For: ages 12+, Time: 5-7 pm
FREE. Jessie will be leading the group in a relaxed setting. Includes one Strawberry Beaded Pin project kit with a detailed instruction booklet and everything you need to finish 1 pin. You will not be leaving the class with a finished pin due to the slow nature of beading. You will be far on your piece. Online help following the class is available should you get stuck finishing your pin. A beaded edging tutorial video will be made available to participants.

March 11th, 2025 - Bear with Northern Lights Painting - STAC Workshop
Instructor: Jessie, For: ages 12+, Time: 5-8 pm
FREE. Jessie will be leading the group of painters in a relaxed step-by-step acrylic painting of the northern lights, bear, and salmon. You will leave with a finished painting. No painting experience is required. Experienced painters are welcome. Snack provided.
