Available Workshops

  • Artist Talks

    Offering PowerPoint presentation Artist Talks that can be given to K-12, university level, etc. The talk covers topics like: my career overview, how I became a full-time artist, my family’s Residential School experience, and the art I make about Indigenous healing. The talk includes many examples of my work and a question period. This can be adjustable to suit the age level and presentation length. For schools, I can offer the same artist talk to several classes throughout the school day. I can bring art pieces of mine to put on display.

  • Private Small Group Workshops

    Offering beading, or painting step-by-step workshops. Max of 10 people. Experienced working with folks with no painting or beading experience. Great for family art fun or relaxing with friends. Have a specific idea of what you want your group to paint? A new design can be made to be taught to your group. Any age level. I can travel to you within the Winnipeg, MB area or I can offer a space for your group to use. Limited availability.

  • Private Art Lessons

    Private Art Lessons offered in portraiture, drawing, beading, painting (acrylic and watercolor), mixed-media, dreamcatchers, and basic comic making. Any age level. I can travel to you within the Winnipeg, MB area or can offer a space for us to use. Limited availability.

Large Art Workshops (Fully booked until May 2025)

  • (Large groups) Art Workshops

    Offering workshops for grades K-12, business groups, teacher PD days, etc. Jessie teaches workshops in: beading (a variety of techniques), Indigenous-themed painting step-by-step, sweetgrass basket making (seasonal, very limited capacity), crankie art making (a form of storytelling), dreamcatchers, and mixed-media art. Experienced working with all age levels. Max group size 25-30,

    Note: Open to discuss Manitoba Arts Council - Artist in School grants for in the future.

  • (Large groups) Indigenous themed Painting Step-by step Workshops

    Offering painting step-by-step workshops in a variety of designs. Indigenous-themed painting workshops are preferred. A new design can be made available upon request. Available to ages 6+. Experienced teaching folks with no painting experience. Difficulty levels for paintings range from beginning to advanced. Max 25 people per session.

  • Whyte Ridge School Smaller Mural on Wood

    Mural Work

    Jessie is looking for small mural opportunities for late fall 2025. I can produce a small mural alone or work with student groups. I have mural teaching experience with grades K-12. I prefer to complete murals on wood to install indoors but I am open to ideas.
